Recently I've been moaning about street art in London. A couple of weeks passed by though and I have to admit now that I was wrong. To some extent.
I still believe that there would be more potential for street artists out there in the streets of London. I still believe that the city council should set more value on supporting young creatives embellishing their cold and grey streets. Because it's not just graffiti - it's art! Art that matters.
However, I was wrong saying that London's street art community doesn't exist. Fortunately! There are still creative people out there creating exciting artworks in London's public space. As recently discovered in Soho the project 'Making the invisible visible'. The three masterpieces showing the face of Troy Davis who has been on death row in the US since 1991. The works are only being revealed when viewed from an angle.
Art that inspires people to think. And that's the objective every kind of fine art aims to achieve, isn't it?
Making the invisible...
...visible.
Street art...
...to be seen.
