It’s not because they are stupid!

The other day I learned that certain things are not happening because they are stupid, no there’s another reason: It’s because they have special needs. In my defence I have to say that I wouldn’t have thought that they are stupid, not all of them.

So now the main question is: What does it mean that they have special needs? Do they require special assistance or further information? Or do we simply have to talk to them differently? I still don’t know. Anyway. It’s important to understand that we’re doing it this way because of their special needs (whatever they are) and not because they’re stupid. However we seem to know that they are stupid, but we don’t tell them. Because they have special needs...
