The year 2009...

Standing in my new 'kitchen' this evening cooking my marrowfat peas and my 69p Sainsbury's salad potatoes I was asking myself: WTH is going on this year??

Suddenly I'm cooking my meals in London as if I would have lived here for years. But let's have a short review - it's been a long and exiting time since writing my last blog article somewhere in June. It must have been around the time I told my former boss that I'm going to quit my job because having finished my studies I have to keep going on and learning new things. It must have been the time I finally decided to go to Britain. It must have been the time we planned our holidays in SE Asia, the greatest journey ever by the way. It's been an exciting, gorgeous and terrific journey with stops in Hong Kong, Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (KL) and Pulau Pinang where we gathered loads of impressions. But every journey has to come to an end and we had to get back home after 28 days (despite standing at the LRT station in KL end of August, crying and confessing that I'm not going to Europe anymore). After having exactly one week in Austria I stuffed all my important stuff in my rucksack (OK, in two rucksacks and two bags) and took my flight to London. And now I'm here in my quite small and cold flat in SW London, after one month experiencing the hell of british idiosyncracies as well as a stunning british autumn, cooking my peas and potatoes and asking myself: What more is going to come this year?
